In my experience, only pure Being or "Isness"—the infinite stillness that both precedes and expresses as creation—exists. It has no knowable content, yet it is absolutely full. Like a divine magician, Being appears to become an endless and ever-changing variety of forms that we call creation. We tend to get thoroughly fascinated by and lost in the forms and forget their essence. Yet all those forms and appearances are like a dream, and when we wake up from the dream, we find only Being.

I see the first dream or expression of Being as endless, brilliant light that I call FirstLight. As the initial manifestation of creation, FirstLight contains within itself the seed or potential for all that can be known or experienced. It's like an unlimited source of blueprints for every possibility in the universe. That astounding FirstLight is equally powerful, equally present and equally accessible in all of us.
